Default Gotta LOVE New Neighbors (GLOAT)

It was a beautiful sunny evening so I was out scrolling in the driveway. Some new neighbors from down the street were out walking their dog and came up to say" Hi" and see what I was doing. They were impressed with the sign I was cutting and asked to see some other stuff. We walked in the garage, they looked, they actually ooo -ed and awwww-ed (honest!). How much for this.........how much for that.........when can this be done..............that would look great in our entryway........ what is that tool (a lathe)......... what do you make with it.......THAT pen is made out of MOOSE antler????

To end a pleasant visit, they left happy and I was left with $170 in sales/orders to finish up. (They want a moose antler pen, bias cut mesquite slimline pen, redheart Panache pen, Lily coat rack out of ash and cherry, and one of my daffodil patterns cut in Prima Vera)

Like I said, a beautiful evening.

Oh, I invited them to stop in ANYTIME they saw me sawing. Even said they could bring a friend or two.

Well done! maybe the moral of the story is that we should all consider moving our scrollsaws out into the driveway or better still park theem at the front gate. Lol. We may all make better friends withthe neighbours, new and old.
