| This Is something else - try it This is truly amazing. The only thing is that she does not answer your questions. She just speaks what you write.
She will say anything YOU SAY!
I sure don't know how they do this! When you move the mouse around, her eyes follow. When you write something in the left space and then click on "Say it", she says it! You can also change persons doing the talking, etc.
Subject: The page is amazing. Worth going to. http://vhost.oddcast.com/vhost_minis...s_example.html

| Hi John,
Sorry to burst your balloon, but there is nothing amazing in this.
She follows you cursor: it's a flash animation. Every time you move your cursor on the screen, you create a refresh of the image to show th e new cursor position. This position of your cursor is an X-Y axis coordinate on the screen that all programs use to determine what you are clicking on. In this case they have the eyes and head move to point in the direction of that coordinate.
As for the text to speech stuff, it is technology that is over 10 years old. This is the type of software that came with every 16 bit Soundblaster card on PC supporting Windows 3.11 (remember that version?). So it's nothing new, maybe just better.
Text to speech is now available for visually impaired people, and in software programs that allow you to dictate speech that will be typed to a document or email (just google for it)
Regards,
Marcel

| They have software that will convert spoken words into text. The problem you would have here is that your husband would need to use the software to create a new document, Speak his mind, then copy that text into a new message here. An example would be Natural Speaking or Dragon Speak.
