Default Little help please

My wife is always talking to herself, and I never talk to myself. Just curious how many people do talk to themselves. I know there is no right or wrong, this is just something some people do.
So who talks to themselves and who does not? I am pretty sure you are OK talking to yourself, it is when you start answering yourself is where the trouble begins.

Must admit occasionally talking to myself. If a question, may answer if I figure something out. But, talk to the dog more.

Not only do I talk to myself upon occasion, but half of the time I lose the argument. Happy New Year everyone.

Default I'm not mumbling I'm thinking!

Most intellects do ,often hard to find people on the same wave length, often more asking myself questions to totally think through a idea or process I'm planning or working on ,amazing how much it forces you to recognize that
the first thought did not . Many blessed persons do not have to go through
that process ,they get right the first time ,or have the best outragious excuse for their mistakes ! I was not blessed with finite mental abilities ,and have to work at it ,without a crew to bounce ideas off of very often ,so I talk to myself as I'm my own best friend and always here ,maybe later I do for other reasons IF I LIVE LONG ENOUGH ! Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

I guess we all talk to ourselves from time to time, but when my wife isn't around to talk with, I always have the dogs and cats to share a story with....their story's are much more interesting....

I prefer to call it "thinking out loud".

Now that is funny Doug. I shall share all this info with her. I was starting to wonder if it was a gender thing, but it appears not. Then she was starting to wonder if it was a health care thing which she is an RN and most of her coworkers talk to themselves. We were just doing a little survey to see where we all stand with talking to ourselves. Now most of my coworkers are guys and not many I find talk to themselves. So we are back to square 1 with it all.
Thanks for all the input so far, this has become a fun subject for us to research a little.
Hopefully more will reply with some more good info.
