BTW I talk to myself all the time... I'm the only one who'll listen to me.

Out loud or does the ongoing conversation in my head count?

I suspect the guys just won't admit to talking to themselves!

I think this is where the line is drawn. I would imagine talking to yourself is thinking out loud. But we are on a mission to gather way more information on this subject.
Is there a Psychiatrist in the house?

SteveK, I would see them talking to themselves and they are not. What they do at home is a different story. But in 8 hours if you talk to yourself, I would think you would do it while working. My wife's coworkers talk to themselves at work.

I'm always talking to myself and it doesn't matter what I'm doing. I've gotten more than one strange look from my family and coworkers

I asked my son why he talks to himself. He paused for a minute and answered, " I like talking to intelligent people...... and furthermore, I like listening to intelligent people talk"

Silent. I do talk to our cats but mainly about what they want and why they are whining.

It is not the talking to oneself that is worrysome..... it is the answers that can be.
