I liked my Dewalt, had it for yrs. I first bought a Delta and took it back, to much vibration. I sold my Dewalt after many yrs of use and it's still like new. I now have an Eclipse. Just my 2 cents worth. dogs

Do your research. A lot of these companies are one in the same. With the corporate market these days alot of companies are buying each other out and leaving the names the same.

Not all of the mergers are a good thing..... dewalt-black and decker sears and k-mart

The 788 and the Delta 40-690 were essentially the same saw. The new Delta 40-695 looks to have some minor improvements. Would be nice to hear from someone that has purchased the latest Delta model.

My feeling is Excalibur is a very good saw, I upgraded from Ryoby to Dremel and then to Excalibur 16" and it was like going from Chev to Cadillac.
