Default Anyone having forum reply posting problems using Firefox browser?

Hi folks - just fishing for some info.

After a few weeks free of forum navigation problems I've been having great difficulties the past 3 days posting replies to threads. It seems that hitting the send quick reply or advanced reply buttons just doesnt work and occasionally brings up the dreaded 'you are not logged into the forum' message which was happening a few weeks back.

Being away from the forum most of the past week it was only last night that I got to play around to try and resolve the problem and I found that if I use my normal browser - Firefox - the problem occurs. If I then switch to Internet Explorer I have no problems.

Thinking I might have a screwed up version of Firefox on my PC I tried using Firefox installations on a couple of other PC and have run into the same problem.

So, the question is, have any other Firefox users noticed this problem and if so have they managed to resolve it.

Thanks!

Hi Jim, I use Firefox all the time and haven't had any problems (yet) apart from the slow response a couple of weeks ago which everyone seemed to be having. However I have an old Sony Vaio laptop and I have experienced lots of problems of late trying to log onto the site. So much so so that I now use Wendy's HP laptop and have no bother what so ever. I guess it's time to get the plastic out. Hope you get sorted soon mate.

I primarily use Firefox with no problems.
Google Chrome is fast becoming the GO TO browser.
I tried it and it work much better than IE.
You might give that a try.

Jim I did use Firefox for along time, then about 4 months ago started having the same problems, plus my email would not work. I changed over to Google Chrome and have had no problems at all. I do like the faster speed as well

Hi Folks - thanks for the feedback.

It seems like I've set myself a real puzzler this time around. I have 4 different computers in the house, 2 of which belong to my wife and son which I never use - one running Windows XP, one running Windows 7 32 bit - and then are my two computers running Windows 7 64 bit. I'm having the same problem on all the computers when running Firefox typified by the send message reply buttons seemingly non responsive. I've completely uninstalled Firefox on one of my computers plus all my add ons and user settings and reinstalled the program as a squeaky clean set up with a new user profile, no add ons, or preferences from my deleted old user profile and I'm still having the same problem. For someone who's reasonably computer literate this problem has got me scratching my head. Definitely a mystery!

Changing to Chrome is no big deal since I've user this before and I like the browser. The only drawback is there are a couple of addons to Firefox which i use a lot which Chrome or IE don't have. I'm just niggled that until a few days back I had no problem using the send reply buttons nor evidence of the double login issue and I have no clue why things have changed. Grrrr! don't you just love computers!

PS - posted from Internet Explorer - LOL!
