Default about waxing scroll saw top

what kind of wax can you use on a scroll saw table i have dw788 i would like to make the wood slide batter when i saw and keep the table from rusting

Dave lots of folks use Johnson Paste Wax, yellow short can, and can be found in the grocery store as well as other stores,

I agree as it has no silicone in it which can cause splotching on wood. I use something that is called top cote. I use it because I got it as a gift several years ago and still have some. It works really great but is rather spendy on its face. However I've had it (the first can) for about 6 years and I use it on all my table tops.

Any wax not containing silicone is fine. I use Minwax finishing wax because that is what I have on hand.
