Default A Killer Whale Rocker and Doll House.

I just got back from visiting my daughter and her familly. As they live 5000km away it makes it hard to make things for the kids as shiping is so costly. So I made a whole bunch of things to take out there.
I have a full size truck with a tall canopy and it was full. The doll house and other things are not suitable for a 3 month old or even my 2 year old grandaughter but its all there to be brought out over the next few years.
I ran out of time to paint everything but my daughter can do that for me.
The killer Whale rocker still needs white paint on the body and also on the waves on top of each rocker.
The doll house just plain got out of hand. What I thought would take a coupler of days took 4 weeks. Its 4' high and long and 16" deep. It is 3 floors high with an elevator. That will never be done again by me. I had to come up with a simple system to lock the car from moving if any door was open. I did not want fingers getting cut of as the car came down. That took 5 days and a huge pile of scaps before I got it to work.
All the furniture and the dog crate need painting as well. But my daughter has lots of spare time between a new born and 2 year old as well as driving a school bus full time. I might have to go back out there to help her get it all done. She married a very well paid computer geek but around the house he is all thums. I should of taken this computer with me to get him to fix all the problems I have with it. But most of the problem is me...
Turns out a bunch of my pics are still on my lap top so will post a few when I figure out how to transfer them.

Geezzz Alan last year around this time frame you were working on your greatdane sleigh if I recall correctly.....that was so cool too. The toys look great, and would love to see the doll house. Nice seeing you posting again.

Ok, here are a few pics that show the outside and balconies. both upper floors have a double sliding patio door with plexiglass inserts. The 3 doors for the elevator are also made with plexi glass. The pic of the kitchen fittings shows the fridge upside down. I did manage to get all the nail holes filled and a coat of primer on the exterior walls while I was out there. My daughter is painting the rest of it and will send pictures when done, which I can post. The floors and inner walls all clip out and the end walls are hinged so it folds flat, sort of. The toilet was made the same way as the bowls in another post here.
As the girls are 3 and 25 months old I have lots of time to make proper furniture and other fittings that can be mailed out there. I can not imagine what it would of cost to ship something this big that far.

Very well done Alan, at least it would get there in one piece if you take it.

Very nice house! Could be mistaken for a Marriott! I love the entrance!
