Default Does anyone else do this??????????

Hello my follow scrollers
I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this. Your watching a movie or TV program and you see some great finish trim in a house or maybe a piece of furinture or a clock or some other piece of woodwork and say how great it is to yourself or your spouse or maybe right out loud. Or think I could make something like that. I've dont this a few time...........ok a lot of times and I've even missed what was going on because I was checking out other things like a great wall clock. Evelyn thinks I'm a little nuts when I do it, but she has done it a time or two. So I'm I the only one or not..

Yep - i do the same.
But the real secret is to train yourself to not say out loud in front of your wife 'hey, I could make that' so as to avoid the stock answer 'What about all the other things you've started and not finished!"

Heck, I go to historic re-enactments and museums to look for pieces of historic furniture to duplicate.

Hey Kevin - my younger son in the UK is into historic-re-enactments but I wouldn't let him near historic furniture. With his 6ft long Scottish broadsword he'd just hack the stuff into matchsticks!

Ok so this is contagious. I have been grieving a bit as my van decided to stop working and now I am driving a little car to work. Well let me tell you, the little car does not compair with a van, when I try to raid the garbage for wood. Imagine my grief when I found the perfect piece of wood for that special project and it would not fit in the car.... I do however have a roof rack and I now have a supply of bungy cords and rope in the car. I wonder what the boss will think when I drive into my office job with a load of found wood tied to the top of the car???? And yes, I love to look at the wooden artifacts when watching TV.

Nope never happens to me. Did you see the set of pens on that buck in Aarons avatar or do I mean antlers what ever they are would look nice on a lathe or a scrolled mount of some sort. But nope I never do that.
