Yep, i've been a woodworker /carpenter most of my life, and get most of my ideas from somebody elses work, ie: trim, paterns ect. sooo you are not the only one. cheers JOhn

And here I was thinking how weird I was! Thanks for setting me straight. My big thing is checking out old barns and old country stores that might make a good bird house pattern.

Yes it happens to me too, and the wife. We were in a furniture store recently and she saw a bedroom display she liked. You can make that Mick, she said. Yes dear said I, while thinking about something a million miles away. Maybe she'll forget about it eh.

I always have paper and pencil ready when i watch tv so i can draw it imediately, and when we go to a store and see something i like, i take some pictures with my mobile phone. And lucky me, my friend have the same problem!

Not only do I do that but now my children are doing it for me. They will come racing in from another room and say "Mom, come look on TV there's something you can make for us!". At least we're doing this together - Eddi

It's nice to see so many of you do it as well, I also check out trash piles as I drive by to see it there is any wood. I do believe it is a sickness with know known cure.
