This is surely off topic but after seeing Bubbantenn's paintings and K-town's posts of Dear Old Dad, I thought I'd post this. I spent most of the week at hospitals or taking care of necessities for my mom and sister. My stepdad had his 3rd heart attack following a massive stroke 3 yrs. ago and my brother-in-law has very little time left because of cancer. Through all this, I got to thinking about my Mom's oil paintings. She is 83 yrs. old and due to being a full time caregiver for my invalid stepfather, she hasn't had the time to paint for 3 yrs. now. She started painting in her late 50's after my father passed away. Her work has never been viewed by the public as all her paintings were gifts for family and special friends. I thought I would post these photos of some of her work for those on here interested in seeing them. I put them in a special album in my photo gallery. Mom's Oil Painting - Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts Photo Gallery Unfortunately the photos don't do the paintings justice, but they still good enough to reveal her artistic talent.

Your mother's paintings are great. This is such a nice tribute. Thank you for sharing. Will she be able to view it or know that you've made this gallery for her?

WOW Terry, you're Mom is an amazing artist. Those paintings are beautiful. They need to be appraised by an art dealer, not only is there alot of personal value there, but I'll bet they're worth some monetary value as well. Thanks for sharing them with us. Marsha

Thanks very much to everyone for your nice comments. I hope to get her out here someday soon to see all the replies. I think she will be very delighted to see them. I wish she still had time to paint because her paintings always made the recipients very happy and in turn made her very happy. Being a full time caregiver at 83 is no picnic for her but she would not have it any other way.
