Default More on the BIG SHOP

In case anyone is following my adventures of Marriage, Moving and Moaning here is some information on the BIG SHOP I am making into a workshop. As you have learn earlier the shop is 1627 Square feet. BUTTTTT it also now is a home for a motorhome (32 feet Long), a boat (18 feet long and a lenthwise shelf 2 feet wide by 8 feet high by 37 feet long. The shelf is where I have stored all the Christmas decorations from the other house. Plus some stuff that won't fit in the house yet.
The shop was used as a basketball court for the owners high school kids but they have gone off to college (one with basketball paying the way) So it is high, 16 feet to the florsent lights. So to make lights closer plus to reduce the amount of holes in the walls, I made a frame of 2X4 nine feet high by 11 feet wide the whole back lenght of the shop. So far working fine. I have most of my toys in it and they are not near so close together and this weekend maybe will get the rest of them there. If you want pictures I can work that out I think. BUT NOW I WANT TO CUT SOMETHING.....

I have to laugh, when I made my shop it was to hold a boat, camper and my truck. Then I bought a scrollsaw and a few other larger woodworking tools, even my Zodiac deflated won't fit in there. But it makes a great shop with 9' ceiling and is 26X32'.
So the storage building I dreamed about for 30 years is now my wood shop and all the toys are back outside.
Good luck on getting your shop the way you want it it sounds like it is big enough for both uses.
