so all I can say in reply is that Mexicans are happy every day mate - LOL! - but their special day is the 16th of September each year when they celebrate their Independence and gather in the town squares all over the country to ring a bell at 11:00 pm, symbolizing the ringing of the original bell of independence, to the shouts of Viva Mexico - Long Live Mexico - a ceremony known locally as 'El Grito' (the shout) Of course some folks living more to the north of us might suggest that Happy Mexico Day might be that day when all those Mexicans who are trying to get across the border into the US finally make it!

This year, Canada Day was especially great for our family because Sue received her Canadian Citizenship recently! We had ice cream cake and of course... there were fireworks of sorts. Today we celebrated July 4th with a walk along the waterfront and shooters! ![]() Any reason to party is good! Take care Toni
