Default A little Personal Update

Hi All,
As many of you aware, my regular job is ending on Thursday of this week due to the closing of the company. I had been debating what to do and finally decided to just pursue my woodworking business full-time. In the past I've easily done 20K+ a year doing it part-time so I figured I might as well just bite the bullet and just work for myself instead of dealing with corporate politics and all of the headaches that go along with it. Needless to say, a small part of my business plan (very small) is pattern sales so I'll be adding those. Another area I'll be venturing into is supplies for woodworkers and scrollers. As an example, I will be offering magnetic cabinet catches on my site very inexpensively (~25-50 cents each). I just need to come up with packaging for these as I purchased them in bulk (ever seen a crate of 50,000 cabinet catches? hehehehe). I'll likely also add thin wood and other supplies as I identify and establish relationships with suppliers. As always though, the primary income generator for the business will be finished product. At least I won't go to my grave wondering what if.

G'day Kev,
Congratulations for taking the big step mate.

Best wishes for the new endeavour, I'm sure you'll do OK.

Looking into my crystal ball (singular ) I see a couple of additional saws in the near future as you're sure to flog your current ones out.

Hi Kev - Good luck in your new venture. Whichever way it goes, and I sincerely hope it will be upwards, you'll be your own boss doing something you enjoy and that counts for a lot these days.

WOW...I need to stop in more often.

Great attitude Jedi, I'm hoping it will end up GREAT for you.

On a side note, sales seem "down" here, how are they on the right coast?
