Meant to send the on the 22d (yesterday).

On this date in 1986 at 2223 hours (not that anyone is counting) I stopped smoking temporarily.

Fred, tell yourself its temporary. That's what I did. I smoked for 40 years. I'm going to stop for 40 years. When I'm 97 I can fire up again.

BTW stopping was a big financial burden on me. I bought my smokes in the commissary and saved $3 a carton. Smoked 2 cartons a week. Not I'm not saving that $6 a week anymore.

I don't smoke unless I drink, sooo If I could quit drinking, I could stop smoking. I can go for months with out both. but when I do. I use both. I just have to tell you. stress will kill you faster then any of all the other stuff. now how to give up stress. don't know. just living my life is what I do. don't care mostly about all the whats and what nots. I do respect others air. so I only do what I do at home. don't drink and drive, don't smoke in publick, and dont complain about some one else if they are in there own home. you will die of stress first. just for the record, there is fast foods every where. and fat will kill also. not to mention , palluting. noise, taxes. factories, sewiedg, high prices. so don't dump me for a beer, or a cygeret. Oh dang on a run again. your friend Evie

My wife and I got hypnotized, is that spelled right, about 15 years ago and neither one of us has had a cigarette since. It's one of the darndest things I've ever done and I never even think about smoking. I was paying about 8 dollars a carton for them then and we were going through 2 cartons a week. After we were hypnotized we put 20.00 in a jar each week. That was to cover the money we would have spent on cigarettes for the week. Believe me it didn't take long for us to take nice vacation on money we saved for not smoking. It mounted up very fast. I know everyone can't be hypnotized or at least they say they can't and I wasn't much of a believer myself at first. I think you have to want to quit or it might not work. Anyway, I'm sure glad it worked for me. David

I don't remember when I stopped, long time ago.
At $5 a pack I'm glad I don't use them anymore.

Yeppers it is nice to not reek of cigarette smoke any more. Quit 12 years ago when doctor said to or lose left leg. Made the correct choice, still have both but do have PAD.
