Default It was a good break

G'day all,
Well just got back last night from a round trip of 1200 kms to see Brookes and Dunn. It was a good show, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Especially living like the high and mighty for a few days, boy I could get used to that.
We stayed at the Casino in Perth, as the show was on the premises, and with Valet Parking, Smorgasbord Breakfasts and Yes Sir, No Sir Three bags full Sir, it sure was interesting to see how the other half live.
We'll be paying for it for awhile but was worth it.
I took some photos of the concert but they turned out no good.

As any good Aussie boy knows, you never let a chance go by, so I also managed to get to some Tool Shops, and Timber supplies. Had no cash left to spend, but had fun looking.

Here a few photos I took that may be of interest.
One is of a Pub in a little town about 200kms east of Perth the others are of a couple of parrots just outside the motel room window.

Hope you have a great week.

Thanks all,
WD, I think that is a Cocos Palm. If you look closely on the 1st pic you can just see the birds.

Erssel, there are about 1/2 doz of these built all over Oz now. the first was built in Albury and they are based on a cartoon drawn by Ken Maynard, called "Ned and his Neddy" or "The Ettamogah Mob"

Sounds like you had a great time. It's been a long time since I've seen how the other half lives, so it's nice to hear that someone else had the opportunity. Good for you!

Enjoyed the pix and the cartoon. Thanks for sharing!
