Default Another use for "scrollsaw wood"!!

A "friend", and I use that term loosely, pointed me to Mark Placek's website filled with amazing square and rectangle bowls.

How hard can it be I thought, just some scraps, glue, and clamps. Well, it's also patience and precision...both of which I lack....but here is my first attempt. ..... 7 1/4 x 11 1/2 x 1 3/4....one coat AO, buffed. Walnut, Jarrah, Redheart.

Very pretty! Rounding the underside of the wings must have been fun. I bet it sounded like a metronome!

I still haven't gotten up the nerve to do something like that!!!

Yours looks beautiful and a nice contrast in the wood.

Having those 'wings' fly by everytime reminds me of what happen to my hat when it got caught up in a prop blade that was spinning. . .

Barry,

Quite interesting, I really like your choice of woods. I have to admit, looking at the first picture, this thought came to mind..."EVERYONE RUN"...lol
