Default A Norman Rockwel Day

I live about 3/4 of mile from the Great South Bay in Bellport NY.
It is about 2 miles across to Fire island (A very Big sandbar) and then the ocean. Every few years the Bay freezes and when that happens, we get all kinds of ice boats, ice skooters (Skooters are Unique to Bellport) wind surfers on skates, people with umbrellas on skates, any and everything that will catch the wind. Dogs, kids, hocky etc. what a fun day. Normaly the bay is salt ice but this year we had snow and rain on top of it so we have miles and miles of smooth fresh water ice.
Sail # 9 is a scooter you use the Jib (fore sail) to steer it.

G'day Rolf,
Nice pics mate.
Reminds me of when one of our lakes fill up, which does happen every 5 to 7 years.
All of a sudden the boats, sailboards, jet skis etc all come out of know where for a year or two and then disappear.
