Default I've been missing all of you

Hi everyone! I haven't been here on a regular basis for a while because of my health and my duties as a minister. So I just wanted to take this opportunity to say hello and to encourage everyone to keep on makin' sawdust! Spring is on the way along with warmer weather then maybe I will feel more like getting out to my shop. Even with a small heater my shop seems a bit cold and drafty. These ol' bones just aren't what they used to be.
Weather is an odd occurrence sometimes. Here in North America many of us are experiencing record cold temperatures, yet I see in certain places in Australia they are experiencing record droughts and extreme heat. Many people are suffering and dying in both places, as well as many other parts of the world. It is so sad to see what we, as a people, have done to this beautiful world. I can't wait to see it restored.
Many of you have been busy and have made some beautiful projects and patterns. Congratulations to you all. I need to get busy and put on the ol' thinking cap and try to come up with some original cross patterns to share with those of you who love to cut them.
Be safe!

Bubba

Bubba,
I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. I hope it is nothing serious, and you will be feeling better soon. As far as Spring goes, it can not get here soon enough. While I have not cut any of your crosses YET, I will do so. As soon as I can convince myself to get back to the shop. I want to Thank You for all of the outstanding patterns you have made available to us. They are simply wonderful looking, the one's I have seen that were cut are gorgeous. Thank You again.

Ron C.

Thanks Ron and Wood Dog. As for my health, my doctors tell me I am the recipient of three different types of arthritis, each one attacking different parts of my body in different ways. Aside from medication there is no hope of improvement.

As for my cross patterns, I haven't made any new ones lately but I plan to. I want to hand draw them then enhance them on the computer. I also plan to open a new album and place my patterns there to make them easier to find since I haven't seen them moved to the pattern vault yet. I never sell my patterns. They are available to anyone who would like to use them for personal use, gift-giving, etc. All I've ever asked is that they not be sold or used for personal gain. Of course, I know that I cannot prevent that.
Anyway, as soon as I create a pattern album, I will make a post with a link.
Take care and thanks for responding.

Bubba

Hi Bubba,

Sorry to hear about your health problems. I know what the arthritis is like. I have it in the right shoulder and knees. So far a couple of Aleve each day keep me functioning well, but this cold weather just makes it that much worse. If I had any say in the matter I'd cancel cold weather permanently.

Looking forward to you getting back in the swing of it and seeing your new patterns.

Sorry to hear about your arthritis. I feel your pain. I have arthritis of the lumbar region of the spine with extruded disks. Ibuprofan and physical therapy are my weapons. Fortunately I have the basement set up for my scroll saw so I can work in relative comfort. Spring can't come soon enough - it has been cold and snowy in Pittsburgh with a possible big storm for Monday and Tuesday. Don't let the arthritis get you down - keep working and exercising as much as possible. If you vegetate you will go down hill fast.
