Default Bald Eagles

I took Chance for a walk this afternoon and took these pictures. The second picture is of 2 sitting in a tree.
This is downtown along the ocean. The first one is a pole that is put up for Eagles to perch on, we have quite a few of them as well as tall Cedar trees all along the waterfront. These guys were within 50' of houses.
The last picture is just sea gulls along the Campbell River where we walk most days.

we are startin to see the population grow here in northern michigan. there are some that i see a few miles down the road from here snatchin food( mice, rabbits, etc.) from farm fields and have to stop and watch them. there was a show on bald eagles on PBS the other day and it was pretty good. folowed a couple of em thru a year. they put video cameras in the tree so there was some really good footage of their nests. the cool thing was footage of em playin games in mid air. how great that must be to be takin a walk with a good friend and seein something like this! awesome pics!! how 'bout a pattern from em???

We've got them here right outside Chicago. I had one circling over my plant on 9/11/08 at about 9:30 a.m. Beautiful sight on a memorable day.

Alan,

Thanks for sharing the pictures, brings back memories of Florida. When I was there, we would see them while fishing in Lake Kissimmee...

I believe my heart skips a beat, every time I see these awesome birds. I went out yesterday and found a couple myself. However, due to the goose hunting in the area, they wouldn't let me get none too close. They love the easy goose meal. Thanks for thinking of us.
