| A Few thoughts on this craziness Wow, wow, and triple wow! I am simply awe-struck by all of the excitement I've seen these past 2 days. It wasn't an easy decision to accept this very generous offer (of course, I wonder if Bob knew what he was getting himself into ![011[1]](http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/images/smilies/011[1].gif) ). Folks were concerned "AFSP" would lose it's identity. Over these past couple of days, it's really hit home that it's the people that make a group successful. I could start a site tomorrow called AFSP but it wouldn't be what we've all come to know as AFSP. It's just a name. At the core of any successful group are people who genuinely care. I feel extremely lucky to have the good fortune to call many of these same folks friends. At AFSP, we had Sylvia, Jody, Dave, Mike, Sam, Darrell, and many, many others and at SSWC we have Bob, Carl, John, Toni, Sue, Dale and of course many, many others. The fact that all of these folks are now in the same place I think is a terrific thing for scrolling. The goal of any scrolling group should be to promote scrolling and both of these groups have excelled in that regard.
I'm sure there will be a few bumps in the road as we iron out things and folks get accustomed to each other but I think I have a unique perspective due to my dual-role in these groups (I've been the resident grumpy old moderator on both groups for several years). I have been very happy in both places and have made wonderful friends as a result of my participation in both groups. I am enthused beyond words by both the warm welcome from so many of the "regulars" on this board and by the "regulars" from AFSP jumping right in with both feet.
So to all my friends here at SSWC, thank you for making my friends from AFSP feel welcome. To all my friends at AFSP, thank you for sticking with us through this transition and jumping right in. And of course, thank you to Alan, Bob and Shannon for not only this forum, but their constant work at promoting the wonderful world of scrolling. I truely believe that this is the beginning of something truely special and great for scrolling and I am thrilled and grateful beyond words to be a tiny part of it.
Kevin
Not to worry, I'll go back to being my grumpy self now, hehehehe. |

| Thanks Marshall but I'm just doing the grunt work. I really do wish I had the time to welcome each and every member but suffice it to say I'm a wee-bit pre-occupied, hehehe.

| I have only one concern, it will be very difficult to tell all of you new friends how wonderful your work is. I have a tough enough time now figuring out new ways to say beautiful.

| G'day Kev,
I thought you must be a bit light on the sleep side of things
You seem to be hanging around at all odd hours, including the wee small ones.
You have done a sterling job. Quote:
