Default A new doggy door.

Nothing to do with scroll saw but I finally got this done. For some reason I can not find a doggy door for a normal size dog. Anyway I went to Habitat for Humanity Restore and found a real heavy duty screen door. It has a center slide glass that goes verticall. took out a piece of glass and made a rubber door that just hangs from the top. bottom of the dog door is 13" of the floor and the top is 42" tall.
And Chance figured it out right away and started to use it. She seems to be a lot smarter than me.
The other pic is Loki who was here for the weekend.

I want you to know, Alan, that my "normal" size dogs would have to stand on each others shoulders and would still have trouble getting out that door. <G>

Great job on the door, and good sense recycling. I have a story about Habitat's Restore, too - I was looking for a new tub, and found this incredible 5-sided whirlpool bath there, new, for $550.00. It's now in my bathroom, and we love it. (big job, though)

Cute doggie! Can I go lay down with her on her bed? Oh, and I see another leg hanging on the coach...do you have 2 big dogs like this?
With the weather we have here, we would not be able to use this type of door very long without freezing the house. Lucky you!

We have 2, and at leaste 1 more on the way. They are like Lay potato chips, you can't have just one! As long as they each get a couch.lol.

Two dogs are just as easy to look after as one and they're company for each other if the humans have to pop out for a while. My hubby is constantly reminding me of this now we're down to the one elderly little critter. He wants another Alsation - I want a proper holiday (or three ) first.

Super doggie door, and I might add a very contented looking Great Dane there Alan. Your bed you made for here is just darling.

Our local paper is saying that Guiness world record claim that Danes hold the record for tallest dog. And the most destuctive, I wish I had taken pictures of a new couch that Chance played with as a puppy when we where out one day. Came home and the 2 older dogs were hiding in the bedroom, and the puppy was bounceing around real proud of herself. She tore one end off and of course it was a new couchn, not the older ones they are alowed on.
But at leaste they have never tried to burn the house down like foster kids did, twice.
