Default Pilgrim Carpentary

I took the family to Plymouth, Mass. this weekend and it turned out that at the re-created Pilgrim colony they make their own furniture the way they used to make them in the 1620s.
It was very interesting, realy artists.
I found it amazing that with the exception of electric power the tools & techniques are relativly the same.

Check out the cool lathe.

That is neat. I kind of miss liveing in New England. Alot of history up there. But I can see why the furniture cost so much, one of the guys from ZZ Top works there ba da boom!

Interesting,thanks for the pics. My grandfather did a lot of fretwork by hand and I wonder what he would think of my Dewalt.
