Default From Plan A To Plan B

Plan A was to make a 8.5" bowl this afternoon out of a heavily spalted piece of buckeye . A chunk flew off of the side of it when roughing it out so went on to plan B and made a 6" Tea light out of what was left of it.

What a beautiful piece of wood to work with. The outcome is worthy of the wood William!!

Bill, your plan B looks gorgeous. I was scared a little when I started reading your post that the "flying piece" did end up hurting someone but that wasn't the case. Much better happy ending!

Beautiful! The moral is, we should always have a Plan B! They sometimes workout better than Plan A.
