Default Hey folks in the NE US (picnic question)

Well, it looks like we're shut out next year if we can't make it to Texas. I'm curious if folks would be interested in some type of get-together next year sometime (June, July timeframe)?
I'd very much like to see something in the MA, NY, CT, NJ, PA area. I'm kind of testing the waters to see if there's interest as well as what you would like to see. I have a budget of about 12 dollars to put towards it, hehehe. In all seriousness though, I really think we need something in this area. Location would be important, I'm thinking NJ is relatively close for all of these states (and then some) while PA offers some very nice areas and terrific state parks as well as ease of access.

Thoughts??????

Been looking forward to going to a picnic for a few years now. By next year money situation would be better and I will sleep in the van. NJ sounds good as it is not too far for me. I'll chip in another $12.
Better get my passport.

I'll cross my fingers and hope it's close enough wherever it ends up. Buffalo NY would be handy. LOL I say that when the Ohio meeting was only 5 hours away and I couldn't fit that into my schedule. Can we bring telescopes to scrollsaw meetings? That'd be fun eh Kev? Got a GREAT look at the Andromeda galaxy last night.

Hey Andy,
Based on the responses, what say you to packing a cooler with some beer and we'll meet up at Niagara falls and have a picnic? LOL!

You have my interest! The PA show was great IMHO and I'd love to have the privilege to attend another "picnic". If NJ is "central" to the area there are plenty of state, county, and local parks that would be good places to have one, if that is what you have in mind. Easy access from major roads too.
I to have about twelve dollars to put forth........had twenty four until the stocks to a dump, LOL. How about getting Fox Chapel involved.....Bob.....Shannon.....any comments/interest?

Count us in. We live in Ohio but have family in New Jersey and could do anything in between. We could add our twelve dollars unless of course we win the lottery then we could up it a few. Sounds like fun. Maybe a state park where we could all camp out and make it a really good time.
