Evie, I have never been a good speller myself. I can remember asking my Mother how to spell a word and she would tell me to look it up...If I didn't know how to spell it how was I supposed to find it??? There are allot of things I would like to type, but because I can't spell some of the words I just do not try.....I'm very proud of you because you just type it...doesn't matter if the spelling is correct (in some peoples eye or not) you are able to get the point across to everyone.

Way to many people in this world are just plain mean...

Evie,

Some folks naturally have the better than thou attitude. These kind of folks tend to hang together in groups where they can pat eachother on the back and tell themselves that they are the best thing since sliced bread and that they know everything. Well surprise ... they don't. But don't let them bother you as you are one of a kind and we love ya for it.

Evie
Usually, when I wake up at 2 or 3 in the morning I'll cruise the website but not sign in. (1) I am a little embarrassed at myself for being up at this time of night and (2) it is easier to read and move on than to stop and 'chat.' Be that as it may, and since you opened the door, I'll share my thoughts about you and your spelling: From day one of reading your posts I have thought you are an incredibly creative person.

I could say more but then I'd just be stroking you. I enjoy your posts - period.

John

Evie, you remind me a bit of my grandpa. He had to drop out of school in the second grade to go to work--I taught him to read when he was 75. I remember once when I was a kid there were a whole bunch of guys standing around a great big Caterpillar in a bottomland field. They couldn't figure out how to fix it. My granddad took the track off of it, fixed it, put it back on, fixed the motor, and drove it out of there, despite never having seen one before. Not being able to spell didn't stop him from being a wizard.

From what I've seen, you are like that--you can do everything! You are not only good with your hands but creative and artistic. Grammar nazis are tiny little people who lack the ability to grasp what they are reading, or they would focus on the message, and not the commas.

LOL...Evie...there isn't much more that I can say. The only reason I spell as well as I do is because I literally write for a living. After a while, it's hard for me not to spell right. But with that comes a sense of self editing and self censorship that I regret a bit.

As for spelling and grammar...I am one of the worst editors when it comes to my own writing...I'm much more interested in getting the meaning across than worrying about weather (whether) or not I use then or than!

It all comes down to...getting the message across. And you get your message across!

Evie,
I've only been a member of this forum for a short time but I agree with the rest, You are a very talented person with a caring and loving heart. Your posts show that. I don't care how it is spelled. It's not a big deal . Some people just think they are above everyone else. I bet most of them don't know how to change a light bulb. They usually have to hire someone that cant spell to do it for them. We all think the world of you and appreciate your time and effort you spend with us on this forum. Thanks for being yourself.

Evie, you are sweetest, warmest and most friendly person that I have known. You are not afraid to tackle new things and you always seem to be busy. You are willing to help anyone and you get your messages across and not worry about the spelling. Many times I am so self concious about my spelling that I many times don't even write or offer to help because I don't want to make a mistake. Keep your chin up and know that you are among friends here and we all appreciate and love you.
