the trip got cut to one day, but we managed to get a couple keeper silver salmon (one 7lb hen and a 11 lb buck). . caught a ton of young king salmon largest was about 15 lbs, were a lot of fun to catch but had to release them. with that man young fish fishing should be decent in the next two years. would of liked to fish the second day but family emergencies come first. . hope to get out locally this week-end and see if any of the silvers are this far into Puget Sound, , ,

they banned salmon fishing for us here in California because of the low counts of fish. their hoping that if we leave them alone for a year or two the numbers might come back up and we can start fishing for them again.. October-November is when we would of started fishing for them in our rivers. Trout

Grover D, No salmon fishing here in TN. But that brought back good memories. About 30 years ago, we fished off the coast of Oregon (near Portland). We were out there for my brothers graduation from seminary. Caught several silver salmon. Loved every minute of the trip. Denny |

On an Alaska cruise a few years back, a couple at our table took a side trip to go salmon fishing. At the end of the day, when the boat crew asked where they wanted the fish shipped, they were told that they could not ship them Liverpool, England. So the couple gave the crew 3 of the fish and asked that the 4th be sent to our boat with instructions that it be served to our table as an appetizer that night. The 10 at our tal shared in what must have been more than 10 lbs of the freshest and most delicious salmon we had ever eaten and barely had room for the rest of the meal. sawdustus
