|  William .The owner of the nursery got back to me re monkey tree pods . He say's the inner core stays with the tree and he isn't about to climb up to get one . If one happens to fall sometime he has my number . Miss communication .As far as UBC 's answer , I have to ask the question on their forum . I can see the eye brows narrowing and a HUH ? | William . Guess we can forget about the monkey pods . UBC got back to me this pm . The inside is too soft to turn . The pods drop off in Sept. and the seeds disperse . The stem stays on the tree , rots , then falls off. It was an interesting quest while it lasted . Cheers. Roger |

| OK Rojer, thanks and no problem about the monkey pods not being useful for turning. I am having more fun than a barrel full of monkeys anyway with all the different varieties of turning choices I have been trying. W.Y. |
