| What I've been doing lately. Here are the first two items off my new lathe. I've been having a lot of fun learning to turn. I was having fun making pens on my drill press, but the lathe is even more fun. The hidden compartment key chain is made from purpleheart, the pen is myrtlewood. Thanks for looking.

| Thanks for the nice comments. No, I'm not giving up scrolling. Basically I just needed some new types of items for Christmas presents and once I made a few pens and people saw them, they wanted to buy some. At present I also have a Kathy Wise pattern intarsia elk in process. Thanks again,
Chris

| Hi Evie, the purple heart was easier on the lathe. I've cut it with the scrowsaw but it is tough wood, it didn't seem that hard on the lathe. Thanks for the compliments too.
Mike, I definitely like the lathe better than the drill press. My back feels better too! LOL
