Default Secret Compartment Key Rings.

I made eight regular secret compartment key rings today (Thursday) and four with secret compartment and whistle.
Then after watching the 11.00 PM news I decided to go out in my shop and whip up a display stand for them.

Great looking key rings. I like the display stand also. Only one question " 11PM When do you sleep?" I have trouble staying up past 9.

Those look cool Mr. Young, but they don't look wide enough to put a key in. Could you post a picture with the key inside? Just curious to see. Thanks.

WD

The keys don't go inside. They go on the ring like any other key ring.
"Secret Compartment" means that the top unscrews and you can put toothpicks inside or a hundred dollar bill rolled up or anything small that will fit inside it.

Bill, beautifull as always. say I love the idea of the secret compartment. I guess that is the whistle, compartment. am I roung? now that a cool thing. we could all use a whistle when botherd buy someone comming up on us, while trying to unlock are door. just pool it out and blow. or even blow it when coming up to are house or cars. your friend Evie

Evie.
The secret compartment is accessed by unscrewing the top part that the key ring is attached to . The whistle is at the other end and does not detach .I sell more without the whistle than the ones with it but a guy's gotta have variety ya know
There are many different variatins of the key ring . Some even have a little chain on them. The whistle is very shrill and loud sound meant as a security device.
Some are for storing pills in like this . Or some are perfume atomizers while others are for miniature screwdrivers.

PSI Woodworking Keychain Kits

There are thousands of neat things that can be made on a lathe that are good sellers at craft sales.

Back to the shop. . . . . . I have re-designed my stand a little since the picture and put some finish on it.
I have some scrollsawed desk name signs to make today from two separate orders from the previous sale . They are picking them up tomorrow and I am out of bottle stoppers again so I am going to make a bunch more of those this afternoon for tomorrows sale .

Looks great.
How long does it take you to make one - from start to finish?

About 15 to 20 miutes if doing batches of them. Longer if making one at a time.

William . I was telling my neighbour about the pine cones and during the conversation she mentioned that Monkey Trees have a large cone , nut or pod . Is it able to be turned or are there a lot of seeds inside ? I googled it but could not get an internal photo . Have a good sale this Sat .
