As you may or not have heard I am building a new kitchen for the house and I am ready build the drawers. Unfortunately my 'advisor' has flaked on me and I now have 3 boxes of Blum self closing drawer slides and no idea how they are supposed to attach to the drawers or how the drawer releases attach to slides. I have down loaded the pdfs and they provided some information but not enough for a total novice. If you have ever installed these please PM me so we can chat.
Thanks,
They are Tandem Plus 562H Full extension drawer runners. 21".
G'day Thomas,
I've never used those drawer slides before, and the instructions sure are as clear as mud.
I had a bit of a study of them and think I have it sussed.
What part are you having problems with in particular. I may, just may be able help

John,
I am glad to hear that you too found them clear as mud, I don't feel so bad. If I am understanding them correctly, the only thing holding the drawer to the slide is the hook in the back and the release in the front. You need the template and their specialized drill bit to insure the lock on the front is positioned correctly and when you slide the drawer into the hole after mounting the hardware it 'connects'. Does that sound like what they are saying? So then if that is correct, then the length of the drawer is determined by measuring from the back of the hook to the front the hardware where it mounts to the cabinet + the 5/32 set back. ?? Clear as mud huh?
