Default Cant Seem To Ever Catch Up

My turnings are selling faster than I can make them but not just pens . Lots of bowls and all kinds of the other hundreds of things that are good sellers made on a lathe. . It pays to have variety. The ones that I prefer to make best of all are the ones that don't require any purchase of hardware to complete and are made from free wood. Those are the all profit ones.
But pens are a nice little part of my turnings even though they require hardware .

Seems like I will never catch up after so many of my turnings sold at a craft sale a couple weeks ago. But I'm trying.
Cigars pens are one of my best sellers ( as far as pens go) and I got completely cleaned out of the last bunch I had.
Went into the shop this morning and decided it was Cigar pen replacement day so I made these five..
From top to bottom they are

California Eucalyptus
Local Juniper
Staghorn Sumac from my back yard
Zebra Wood
Bocote

If it isn't raining tomorrow morning like it was here this morning I will be at the outdoor sale and hopefully find a new home for some of these.

As usual, comments welcome.

W.Y.

I think this is a good thing, no? LOL!

Bill you make amazing things, not a wonder they sell like hotcakes.

Hope you got to todays sale and that it is another great one for you!

Very nice as usual Bill. I hope to someday get into using a lathe.

It is a good thing both yes and no. I was way down in stock compared to the one I did so well on a couple weeks ago so I didn't expect too much this morning.
In spite of it and with only two banana boxes full of turnings I still came home with $453.00 clear so I can't complain at all. That is still the price of a good quality mini lathe or a couple cheaper ones just from a four hour sale.
It is hard to catch up this time of year with all the outside work and looking after a couple sister-in -laws place as well as mine because they are too ancient to do it themselves. I'm just a young 'un at 72 so I can do those things.

After the weekly farmers market/craft sale stops for the year around the first week in September I will be able to catch up with a bunch of stuff before the weekly Sat morning pre Christmas sales in late October and all of November and part of December .

I will probably skip next week again while I am trying to catch up because my craft sale table was looking pretty bare when I packed up to come home at noon today . One of the secrets to a good sale is a wide variety of different types of items and wide variety of prices.

Then there is nothing doing after Christmas for sales in my area until the summer ones start over again so I will be able to get lots of shop time in whenever I am not shovelling snow all winter.

Congratulations. People are recognising the skills you have. The pens are screaming "pick me" from their holders.
