My turnings are selling faster than I can make them but not just pens . Lots of bowls and all kinds of the other hundreds of things that are good sellers made on a lathe. . It pays to have variety. The ones that I prefer to make best of all are the ones that don't require any purchase of hardware to complete and are made from free wood. Those are the all profit ones.
But pens are a nice little part of my turnings even though they require hardware .
Seems like I will never catch up after so many of my turnings sold at a craft sale a couple weeks ago. But I'm trying.
Cigars pens are one of my best sellers ( as far as pens go) and I got completely cleaned out of the last bunch I had.
Went into the shop this morning and decided it was Cigar pen replacement day so I made these five..
From top to bottom they are
California Eucalyptus
Local Juniper
Staghorn Sumac from my back yard
Zebra Wood
Bocote
If it isn't raining tomorrow morning like it was here this morning I will be at the outdoor sale and hopefully find a new home for some of these.
As usual, comments welcome.
