Default Art Festival results...

......or should I say "non"results from last weekend's juried show.

I setup the night before the event during a tornado warning. Suffice it to say it was a tad windy. Saturday morning was sunny with winds steady at 30mph, with gusts to 65 mph. I watched 3 different vendors loose their tents to the wind.......we were okay.

Sunday was sunny with a light breeze at 15 mph.

The crowds never materialized. From what I heard, and saw last year, there is usually such a crush of people that you have to wait in line to get into the booths. This year there was never a crowd. Weather, economy, whatever....crowds were light and wallets were tight.

I did make back all my expenses (entry fees, insurance, gas, food, display purchases, etc....) and a little profit. I also learned that I must accept credit cards. I did meet a BUNCH of wonderful folks, both vendors and browsers, and made many good connections. A few orders came about as well.

My biggest sellers were scripture word art and ornaments Three bowls were also sold.

Nice booth setup. Good looking turnings.

But ah, em.... Crowds in the "Crowds" shot? I know you stated low turn-out, but that ain't low, that's just plain non-existence.

Blame it on the weather I guess.

Beautiful booth. A shame there was such a low turnout. It looks like a beautiful day.

That's great to here Barry. I think the turnout issue is happening everywhere. Is that you in the photo? You don't look old enough to be retired if that's you.
