| Hi, as i was driving around today, i had a idea come to mind, i was looking for a place to rent with garage ,still no luck, so i drove by and sit at traffic light , seen this big building across the way,the size of a football feild seems like, empty, anyway i said that be cool to rent that, one half could be sale's floor,to sell the finshed scroll saw projects, the other half for people like me that have saws and we could go there en be like a workout like a gym, we leave our saws set up and for people that like to scroll ,i think it would work, i'm sure there's lot's to try a idea like that. |

I have wondered about a similar idea, set up a killer shop with a couple of everything, then you could charge by the hour for guys to come build stuff. For those with limited space, budgets etcetera it would be a great place. It would also make for a great place to meet others with like interests, learn new skills, and just form a wood working community in general. Liability seems like the only real big problem. Has anyone else ever thought of something like that?

More tech oriented than wood oriented, but TechShop is a similar concept. No scrollsaws, but it looks like a good place to get started on your BattleBot. TechShop is the SF Bay Area's Only Open-Access Public Workshop -- Welcome --Rob |
