Default Shop Pets

So many of us have a friend that likes to hang out as we work in the shop. Here is mine and he is a nut. He once climbed from that bench onto my shoulders as I was scrolling. He loves to reach out and have a paw on my back as he lays there while I cut.

This my pal, If I am sitting at my sanding table, it has a normal chair and Chance just comes over and rests her head on my shoulder. And no she does not get on the counter. She is deaf but has been trained to go to a corner if I pick up an electric power tool like a skill saw and when I am useing the big saws.

Default My shop guard dog

This is my shop guard dog. Actually, if you want anything in my shop, just bring a dog treat with you and she will let you have full access, no joke.

Her name is Sadee, she's 7 years old and usually lays on the floor in my shop when I'm turning, usually close enough to get covered with wood chips.

We only have 2 danes now but when I answer the door and they go woof-woof I get the idea that people would think twice about coming back at night. Chance has gone nose to nose with a huge male Black Bear and 3 Deer, as well as a lot of smaller dogs. The idea of her as a guard dog is a laugh. And our male, well I think my avitar right now says it all.

At least I don't feel so alone, now. I've had a cat for about 8 years now and whenever I cut she comes out - jumps up on the back of my chair and then slides down between me and the back of the chair. I am the part that moves out so she can have her place. She is an incredible cat and never misses a cutting.....

Alan,

The look on your dogs face in your avitar is priceless...

He is not my dog, that big hero is my wifes. Which makes if fun to dress him to look real tuff. Turn a vacum on and he shakes so bad he falls over.

Tom, the picture must not be working right...There's no pet in the picture, just a cat.
Ok just kidding. Cats are on very welcome in my home, my daughter and I are allergic.

I have a cat that likes to sit on my lap when scrolling. If I do not give him some attention he will stick his head up between my arms, so I have to stop and give him some attention.

My shop helper, Gina...actually if I have the saw or the dremel on she hides. If I'm hand sanding, she lays down between me and the back of my chair.
