Default Dewalt D788 vibration

Hi . I called the Dewalt manufacturer this am and asked the question re the saw's vibration at high speed . I mentioned that some members who subscribe to ScrollSaw Workshop and Crafts magazine are having vibration when the saw is turned to the highest speed . Some readers saws seem to vibrate all over the place while others have no noticable problems .
With mine, I put a thick rubber mat on the floor and also turn the speed down .
The Dewalt manufacturer had no definitive answer other than to call your local Dewalt repair dealer .He also suggested contacting Rick's Scrollsaw . Rick Hutcheson's .
I called the Dewalt service centre in Vancouver B.C. I asked if he has used the saw and he had . I explained the reason for the call and he had the following response .
The arm may touch . Wrong tension . The Circuit Board may be at fault , but rarely or the saw could just be out of wack . Sometimes they are not set properly from the factory . Also a couple of taps on the side of the arm may sort it out . The best advice was to take it to the repair depot . If they cannot fix it you will get a new replacement . I'm not sure how far into the warranty that would apply .
I found it interesting that neither of the person's I spoke too had ever heard of either Scroll saw magazines .
Hope this helps . Cheers Roger

Roger, I would think a bad vibration would apply any time as long as the warranty was in force. Don't understand why they would refer you to someone outside of Dewalt. (Nothing against Rick).
