Default Sue Mey's checker board

Hello everyone we are having a good summer here in West Michigan. I have started a project with my 12 year old grandson. I introduced him to scrolling several years ago. He was looking at issue # 31 of my SW&C. and he thought Sue Mey's checkerboard would be a nice birthday gift for his dad. He asked me if I would help him with the project. I jumped at the chance. I made a few modifications to the pattern for the checkers so he could make the cuts. So far so good we have the checkerboard made and he will start on the checkers this week. I will take some pictures when we are done and try and post them.

Great Stoney.....looking forward to the pictures. I love to hear about young people interested in scrolling. We can't just let these saws rot away after we pass.
