Default Forgot What Day It Was

Where does the time go ? ?
I did a lot of outdoor work this week and right up until noon today and then I suddenly remembered it is Friday and I will be going to the Craft sale in town Saturday morning and I am right out of fast selling bottle stoppers .
So I headed out to my shop for the first time this week and whipped up ten stoppers on my lathe with various odds and ends of wood.
There are a lot of other fast movers I am out of as well and hopefully will make some of those next week.

W.Y.

Those look great Mr. Young.....where do you purchase the yellow thingy? Maybe I am just assuming it is purchased......you can make almost anything.
I know the feeling when you have to think what day it is.
Good luck with your sales.

Thanks WD.
The yelow thingys are available in dozens of wood turning supply sites .
They only cost about seventy five cents each and come in packages of ten.
Here is one of the suppliers I use.
BS5 - BS5 White Silicone Stopper Kit

I always keep several packages of them on hand because they are fast sellers at craft sales. They only take about fifteen minutes to make and they sell from $7.00 to $10.00 depending on the wood and style.
There are some nice chrome kits available that cost more but we get $15.00 to $25.00 each for them , again, depending on wood and style.

Here is one I sold for $25.00 last week/

I can see why those would sell well for you, they look very good.

G'day Bill,
Very nice turnings mate.
As for forgetting what day it is, I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on.

Sell plenty.

Great looking bottle stoppers! I may still be asleep, but I cannot figure out how you did the inlay so that it it appears where it does (on the upper curve). How'd you do that?
