Angry Stop litter before it stops you!

Here's an example of what can happen when you throw trash out your car window while driving. When I was passing someone going the opposite direction, they threw a container with liquid out their window, and the pictures below are the result. Not good. I hope this never happens to any of you.

What the heck were they drink out of, an old stone cup? Glad to see you were able to stop ok. My sister in law got hit with a tire. The tire bounced off the windshield but she rolled the Wagoneer after wards, lost control when she ducked.

Hi, thats what i be doing to my nice car, but hey as long you or your family or someone else didnt get hurt ,and does your ins cover it?that's the main thing, car's and such can be replaced, i rember that scary feeling too, when i was driving my 18 wheeler and car hauler passed me at high speed lost a steel loading ramp , went sailing like a plane ,glided right thru my left windshild, i said o- c and ducked and stuck right in the headrest with the rest on top me , meanwhile i was hopeing no one was folling to close , cause i had the brakes locked down hard, came to stop and opean door and fell to the ground , it sliced my left arm wide opean to the bone , i just sit there till someone stop and ask what happen , i just pointed up,course i had my kerchief wrap tight around it, but hey it's not always thrash ether, i hada mama duck go thru my windshild in the same 18 wheeler a few weeks latter thats the day i retired from 18 wheeling, i didnt need to get breakfast that quik, eggs everywere and she was split opean on dash. so it's not just litter buggs although i hate them people, and18 wheeler drivers are the worst , dont ever drink a pipsie bottle along the road you what in there , keep on tucking ,hand me a pepsie bottle.

Glad to see you are all right. I hope whoever it was had the decency to stop and render assistance or if not that someone was able to get their license plate. Regardless I hope you and yours are well.

Ha! That's a good one...hope they offered help. Nope! I slammed on my brakes, turned around and followed them in order to get their tag number. I followed them doing 70 in a 45 zone until they pulled into a driveway. When I got out, they asked me what I wanted. So, instead of accusing them, I just wanted to know if they were on such-and-such road. Then they wanted to know why. So, then I told them. Before I could even finish, she started screaming at me and denying it was her. I KNOW it was her because no other cars got between us AND because she got so defensive so quickly. When the police questioned her, she again denied it. Oh well, what goes around comes around.

Am glad you phoned the police, to many people do not. I serve with a volunteer group( Citizens on Patrol ) with the RCMP and all to often people do not do the right thing and then bitch about justice not working. Those officers will remember her and hopefully they will get her in the future.

G'day Mia,
Glad you're OK.
Too many people duck, flinch and lose control of the vehicle when something like that happens.
You did good.

Modern Windscreens are strange things, with the laminations etc, they can take a hell of a hiding, but because they are an integral part of the vehicles structure, they are also under a lot of pressure so some times, just the slightest knock in the wrong place and it's all over red rover.
