It does take a special "something" for people to go in the military and I applaud and appreciate everyone.

Thomas, you should be proud, they get to a certain age you have to let go and let them make their own decisions. Looks like she is doing just fine.

Hi Thomas.
My brother in law will be doing basic at Fort Knox. After that he will go to training for petroleum supply specialist in Virginia (not sure where).

Congrats dad,
You have every right to be proud of her,not many can make the sacrifice.
As a retired soldier myself I salute your daughter and my thanks to you for supporting her decision to serve.
Do you know where she will be stationed after AIT?

Not yet, she is still delusional and thinks her dream sheet will matter! I tried to explain that whole thing to her but she was not getting it. There is a good chance that she will go to the middle east right off the bat, I am praying against all odds that that does not occur but that is just the selfish Dad in me she told me she is ready for that as well. She hopes to go to Europe (Germany or Italy) but we will just have to wait and see.

Spent 18 months in Germany, beautiful country.
If she gets over there tell her to use her leave to visit as many places as she can, that is my one regret I didn't see as much as I could.
