Default paiting cantainer. prep.

Hi guys, I am getting ready to paint the cantainer on the outside. the prep was drulling. I had to use a grinder, with a wire brush, to get off alot of rusted areas. that took, awhile. 3 days, but first I had to cut out some honey suckal. so I could get inbetween the fence and cantainer. it started out 2 an1/2 feet. down to 4 inches. my arems are all cut up. but got her done. then ground out the rusted areas, then sanded it buy had with one of those sponge sanding blocks. I wired a sanding block to a rod and sanded the small places. gosh I think I am out of blood now. HOHO> then after a few beers. sprayed the wounds with primer. looks pretty good now. but tomarrow, I will wash it with some decreaser, and soap. and scrub it down. then spray paint it. pictures of that tommarow. hear is what it looks like tonight. notice the littel place I had to crowl into to do the work, looks big compaired to the real space. your friend Evie

The last picture is of the gardon tool room. the pipes outside, is for a roof. and a slab .
I also painted the inside with one coat of primer, and 2 coats of high gloss emanmale. the roof was sanded, and painted with one coat of primer, and 2 coats of Henrys roof white. gosh that nocked the tempeture down 20 degress inside. I was cooler inside than out side. I am sure once I paint the outside. that will make a big differance also. I will be scrolling soon. can't wait. thanks for being hear with me while I build my new shop. your friend Evie

Evie . You are one ambitious lady . I have to hand it to you , not many guys would have tackled that job . How did you manage to get the container so close to the fence ? The bylaw where I live makes us keep a 10' clearance on the sides of our property and 25' at the rear , unless you get a variance .That's in B.C. Canada . It will be a great shop when your finished . Cheers . Roger

Wow Evie I am ever so impressed. You have done wonders with this container. I got to hand it to you my friend...you get an idea and you run with it. What an awesome shop/garden shed you have crested for yourself. Such ambition. Where do you get all your energy from?

What you need to do is cut a bit of window trim with your scroll saw, maybe then they will put your shop in the magazine. I am sure a bunch of folks would find your shop a good way to get started in woodworking. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is a container like that worth?

Evie
When I described to my wife what you were doing she couldn't believe it. After I showed her your pics she asks about your progress about every other day. You have people rootin' for you that you never knew about!

You've done wonders and inspired us all. Good luck.
John

G'day Evie,
You've done a great job.
An doing things right the first time will certainly save time effort and cash in the future.

You and my father must have read the same book
Amongst his many words of wisdom is "If a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing right"

That's pretty good Evie. Smart idea putting in some roof vents. What did it say on the side of the container? Looks like a Han-Jin to me. Can't speak for your laws, but here you could drop that baby anywhere you want on your property. It isn't subject to the same laws as a building. It is a mobile object, thus you can put it right on the property line if you wanted and you don't have to pay taxes on it either. If you could get one more, you could remove the one side on both and weld them together, then you'd have some nice space!
