Default Fort Freedom

Not to out do John, but I have been a little busy. I wonder if our kids know how much more fun it is building for grandkids. I will never tell.

Believe it or not, the whole project cost me $4.01 out of pocket. Happened to hit Home Depot at the right time on Cull day.

Nice work, Tom! I bet that was fun. We've got a huge old tree in my back yard that I can't wait to build a tree house in <GRIN>

Cull day???????? My son works for Home Depot, he has never told me about that. But That is a great looking Fort.
I agree with you about the grand kids. My daughter is all ways complaining that I never made her all that great stuff when she was young. Well three reasons, Didn't have the money, tools or time. And I feel really bad about that. Wish I could have.

Cull is when they pull all of the wood that is not up to standard. I got three carts (filled my pickup) for $4.01. Some is not usable but still makes good firewood.

Oh they do that here, but charge per peace, from $.50 to $2.00. Cut offs from warped and broken wood. I get a lot of cedar, cut off from fence material. I sand it down and use it to make name plates.

Tom, that's what that is.... I drove by and my wife asked me what that was, I thought it might have been a miniature horse rodeo ground.

It looks great and it looks like the kids love it!!!

What a great play area for your grandkids. You will always know where they are when out playing. But that is a doozy of a backyard you have! Here in NE NJ, if we have a piece of property that's 70x100 feet it's big. A half acre of empty is almost unheard of. What a great bargain. I have gotten some small pieces of cull from lumber yards and garden centers but never knew that BORG did it also. Thanks for sharing.
