Default Something different

We often see shadow portraits in scrolling but I wonder if we could do something linke this MAKE: Blog: Paper Portraits by Bert Simon
A 3D portrait. I imagine you would need some bendable ply.
You could print out a 12 page PDF to use as a pattern.

Carl .
You go first . That is unique . I wonder how long it took him to make the wire frame and work out the whole concept ? Out of wood seems like a real challenge . Thin veneer or balsa wood comes to mind . I'm sure someone out there could take up the task or challenge . How did you find that particular site?I'm sure the idea will pop in and out of my mind all day . I picked up an extra brochure at the wood show re CarveWright . Not much different than info from there site . Your welcome to it ?
Cheers .Roger

Pretty cool. How about posing with the mouth open and having a hidden beer tap inside? Filler' up!

Interesting, but I'm afraid its not for me. Thanks for getting the old thinker thinking though. I agree with Evie, it is indeed interesting what you can do with paper.

I used to do paper sculpture in a past occupation, but this stuff is certainly a step beyond. The magazine's whole concept is great - technology for fun. As Evie said: the possibilities are endless, we just have to imagine!

Thanks for sharing that, it does get you thinking!
