| My first big girl ATV ride Hi guys, Gosh, I just went on my first big girl ATV ride yesterday. and shazamm. lucky to be here today. we went on a trail that was all rocks and bolders. lots of High grades, and deep dropes. wow was I alittle. well alot scared. my bike can clime trees. but then I am the driver. wooo. scary stuff. there was slanted stuff, where I thought I would fall of to one side. and the down hills was so scary. looked straight down to me. and I had to remmber to scoot back and then straight up, and had to shift up, trying not to pull on the handal bars. the rocks was so big, that they would grab my tires, and jolt me side to side. and make me push my trotale lever, ouch. I almost fliped over on my side one time. and it was still going up, and sidways at the same time, that I thought I was dead meat, all I could think about was my ATV, I will tell you. I am a wayyyyy better rider today than I was friday. I came home pretty fast. and the things that scared me going out. was a brease comeing home. Not bad for a 59 year old gale. and lived through it. I think I will stick to scrolling and easyer rides. not a 4 wheeler at all. just wont to sight see, and enjoy. but I love my quod for sure. she saved me . just thougth you'd like to know what I have been up too. ( Up to my neck HA HA). your friend Evie
Ps. sorry no pictures, was too busy, watching the trail.
Oh ya for got to tell you about my hubbys almost crash, when we got back to load up. my hubby likes to back up the ramps onto the truck, whooo, I don't like that at all. and sure enouph. the ATV hit the back gate and started spinning the back tires, and sled over to allmost off the tail gait. luky the cabale stoped the bike. or it would have gone off the truck. so then we had to pick the Bike up in the back to move it over to fit between the wheel wells. the front tires still on the ramps was slipping off too. I will tell you, don't know what we would have done if the Bike fell off. first time leson for both of us. thanks for looking. Evie

| Don't want to alarm you Evie, but let me tell you a short story.
Our youngest son was always a dare devil. Would try anything.
He has been an emergency medicine physician for several years now. I asked him if he had learned anything now that he has a few years in the emergency room. His reply was, "don't buy your kid a ATV." They have more business from ATVs than motorcycles, or donarcycles as they call them.
You're my friend. Please be careful.

| Thank you Chase, and I will take your post as law. don't worry, I will be soooo cairfull. I let hubby talk me into trying this trail, and it was soposed to be the easy trail. Ha. sure. on the first steep hill river bed looking. straight down, I said no way, I am a begginner, and don't wont to even try it. I turned around in the proper way. and headed back. then all hell cut loose on the other trail. we was 7 miles from camp. and he said just go up the hill and onto the flats. and I am right behind you. when I almost fliped over, He lauphed. well I got up there, but then had to come back down. the problem was, my arms are short, and so are my legs, and to set that far back to come down that grade is so scarry. and still controle the trotale. with the mountain like bolders, grabing my tires. whooooo. I think next time I will not leston to him. just follow my own instinck. and be a chicken yahaaa. me chicken, who cairs. I don't like to compete. I just like to have fun, and looky loo. Im to old to do any of that. save it for the younger guys. hubby can kill himself if he wonts to but not on my watch. your friend Evie |

| Sounds like you had loads of fun. Hope you wore your "big girl" leathers. Wouldn't want to hear about you getting hurt. Must have been a little warm out on the trail, wasn't it?

| Evie, stop scaring us. The basic rule for ATV riders is essentially the same as for motorcycles. If you haven't flipped it (put it down) yet, you will. That from my son who has put his bikes down, twice, once into a barbed wire fence, and the son of a friend who has had wrist surgery and rehab thanks to his flipped ATV. Stay well and safe.
