| has anyone hurd of Tekfoil Hi guys, has anyone heard of Tekfoil. they have differant kinds of foil to insulate a room . I was thinking of putting some on my cantainer. or at least in the paint cabnet. they have lots of kinds. I was wondering if maybe I could glue or tape some on my celing of the cantainer. being mettale. and getting very hot. do you think it would stick, they have some awsom tapes.
if you would like to go have a look see. it is at Industrial Ceiling Fans, PEX Tubing, Stainless Steel Fasteners, Industrial Machinery Storage Buildings from TekSupply they also have thePrefabricated, ready to install Vinyl strip doors. like they have in meat houses hopefully this will be a door that might keep flys out. and keep heat or cold air in. what do you think?? your friend Evie Oh ya, do you think I could put this foil on my already made wood walls. it comes in bubbale and doubale bubbale. Thanks |

| Evie,
I have an architectural engineering background and have worked in the building industry. I have not used this but I've seen similar products for use with radiant heat. This should help somewhat with your shop hard to say as the tech info is not there. The metal structure of your shop is going to absorb quite a bit of heat, a/c or ventilation is going to be key.

| Thanks Jowsu. I am working on lots of vetalation. thats for sure. and I realise the heat will be traped in there. this stuff seems to trap the air inside, and also. trap the air outside. so I need to controle the air inside. does this make sence.with ventalation. I am wondering if I can glue, or tape it to the roof. they have some great tape. but dont say how hot it can stand before comeing down. it is really coming along. and I am hopefull I will get it fegured out. befor it is 110 degrees out side. I wish I would have found this stuff befor I put the walls in. that would have been so easy . but leson learned. now what to do now. thanks my friend. for replying. your friend Evie |

| G'day Evie,
A lot of our bigger sheds and Factories use chicken wire to hold foil insulation to the roof.
The wire is stretched under the foil and then fixed every so often to the roof.

| John, that a good idea. chicken wire. that would surly hold for sure. guess I would have to weild some bolts to the roof. to hold the chicken wire, but doabale. I love that idea. thanks. your friend Evie. alittle late on this reading, but seen it now. thanks
mmmm Edit. I was just wondering, maybe chicken wire would hold it to the outside as well. then do a color cote of plaster as well. you think. |
