Default missing knobs

Hi Folks.
I have this old Sears /Craftsman 20" Pro scroll saw which I a stuck in a corner once I bought a new 20" Dewalt . I decided to look at the old beast once again . I notice there are 2 knobs missing in front. One is for the table tilt which was handed to me ( broken ) after I loaded it into my truck . There is another shaft by the speed control. This one I'm not sure what it does ? Any suggestions ? I have also contacted Sears to see if there is a conversion kit available to go to pinless .Not much help . I did notice I could probably just put a pinless blade in to see if it works.
I sent an inquiry to RicK Hutcheson but notice his reply may get blocked unless I register him on my computer which I haven't the foggiest as what to do . I have also googled images but sears/craftsman don't seem to have made the cut .

Roger, I think I have the same saw and it is both pin and pinless. Do You have an owners manual? I went on line to sears and ordered one. The tilt knob on mine stripped and would'nt loosen, had to remove table and use PB Blaster to get it loose, and then drill through knob and shaft and install a roll pin. The shaft by the speed control has a hole in it for putting a padlock in it to lock the saw in the off position for safety.

Default Sears scrollsaw

Merle .
I just checked the tilt shaft on the saw and it works .You are right about the shaft by the speed control it has a hole in it .No need to worry about locking it.
I'm going to replace the allen screws with a couple of finger blade change screws like those used on the dewalt . I tried the dewalt one but it is a different thread .I found a couple others that sort of work.
I believe at one time I did have a manual . We had a house built 4 yrs. ago . Now everything is scattered in boxes .didn't get a garage or workshop out of that deal . Thanks for mentioning Sears to order a manual if my search should have no results.
Thanks . Roger
