Default April Fools

Well Mother Nature played a little joke on us in this neck of the woods. Just got rid of the last trace of Winter, enjoying a few upper 50s-60s days. Forcast predicted 5-10" of SNOW for Sunday, around noon I laughed, ha what snow. Did I ever regret saying that. Some places north of here recieved around 2ft. Guess I should not have started working on the riding lawn mower.

G'day Dean,
She gave us the run-a-round to.
Rain on Friday night and Saturday and cool, Max about 22c, then on Sunday sunny and 34c.

Did the right thing by us though as we chucked a barby for the young blokes birthday on Sunday evening.

Since April 1 I've seen my first robin, cardinal and red-wing black bird. So springs officially here but the morning temps don't seem to show it. Spent a bit of time over the weekend cleaning up the yard, enjoyed the spray of sun we had, but it never did warm up enough to satisfy my craving. This too will change. LOL

For the past 2 weeks here, every morning we woke up to snow flurries. So the other day I decided I had enough of the snow and decided to put together the trampoline for my son. Since then it hasn't snowed yet. Keeping my fingers crossed for more sunshine!

Here in NY, right now it's about 53º, and sunny, Hooray!!! We are supposed to be in the upper 50's to mid 60's for the next week, sounds good to me.

Sherri, what I do when I don't want it to snow is get the snowblower out of the shed, it hasn't failed me yet

Andy, I saw my first Robin last week, 2 cardinals yesterday, and that DAMN woodchuck this afternoon, It's made a home for itself under the shed, last year we kept setting the Hav-A-Hart traps, but only came up with skunks. Now that I mentioned that, I saw the skunk going into the woodchucks hole last night. I think they are plotting something against me

Hey John, Do they really throw shrimp on the barby or is that something you just see in the movies?

Tom

Well, the setting up of the trampoline scheme failed today! Snowed for about 1/2 hour this afternoon but didn't stick. I may just have to give the snowblower thing a try! Got nothing to lose. At this rate we will have snow on the ground till June at least.

Been mowing grass here since January. No garden this year since I am trying to re-locate and didn't want to leave some one else my bounty. Tried to mow with the push mower yesterday and the battery was dead so I had to mow with the push mower. Wanted to get the fertilizer before the rain so I got a major workout with the push mower. Sorry to hear about that snow you all keep getting.

Hear the fruit trees have bloomed. and set fruit. and the black locus is in bloom. along with the lilocks, and daffadials. of cours the wind is trying to blow all the blooms off. but all the trees are still blooming. and the sap is up. already eating shard, radisas, and leatis. the sweat peas are in bloom too. along with the cabadg, is in. getting ready to plat some. tomatoes, and corn. believe it or not. it has been sorta hot hear.
