Default Re-Doing Shop

I know I haven't posted for awhile. I have been busy re-doing my shop. The wiring portion is almost complete. Just a few more splices to go.

Chase, I think it's the blue wire, but that is just a SWAG. Wear your rubber boots and gloves.

Chase,

I hate to be a spoil sport but I think that you have too many connections in that junction box. A 3 1/2" square box usually has a maximum of 9 connections in it. You have at least 19 plus the paper tape. That box is going to get very hot inside as those little electrons push through the wires and generate heat due to friction. Please have an electrician (if you do not)or your town electrical inspector ( if you do ) have permits, before you go any further. I would hate to see you new shop have an electrical fire.

Heck Chase, you got room for about 12 more connections in there. You can save room in the box by using tape on the connections instead of using wire nuts. And just leave them hanging out, no need for a cover. Its a lot easier to access the box to add more without the cover. Nothing better than a little 120 or 240 with your coffee to get the day started.

I love the asbestos labels!

Very cute. I have decided, since Safety Week is from May 4 to 10 I will send my electrician over to help

I know that the wiring is close to the ceiling so his brother will be there to over see the safety.
