Default I'm back!

Hello everyone, I'm back.

My hip replacement surgery went very well. I was in the hospital almost a week and now have had a little time at home to adjust, but I'm still pretty helpless. The doctor used a new type of prosthesis that the bone grows into, so it takes longer to recover, but it should last the rest of my life (I'm 55). I'll be using a walker and crutches for six weeks because I can only put "toe touch" weight on it for that long. I have friends coming in to help me while my husband is at work, thank God for good friends.

Thanks to all who prayed for me and sent good thoughts my way, I appreciate it. Now I just have to catch up with what all of you have been doing.

My poor saw is going to get covered in the wrong kind of dust for awhile.
Chris

Great news thecopperfish.....God speed your recovery. Maybe in a few weeks/days you can poke around the scroll saw to smell the dust. Good medicine for ya.

Welcome back Chris! Glad that everything went well. Youre home just in time to start enjoying the nicer weather (ya didn't miss much in that regards!) Your shop will be waiting for you when you're ready and I'll bet you'll be back to making sawdust in no time.

G'day Chris,
Good to hear all's well.
Don't listen to what they say about those things lasting the rest of your life, you'll be back getting replacements in another 55 years

Take care and take it easy, wishing you a speedy recovery
